Atlas Coders for a project in December
ReD Associates is an innovation and strategy consultancy. The anthropologists, sociologists, economists, journalists, and designers who make up ReD employ the methods of social science to study human behavior. Our teams in Copenhagen and New York work together to develop deep insights into how and why consumers make decisions. We use these insights both to see the world in more compassionate and complex ways - and to identify new opportunities for our clients.
We have a unique opportunity for students or freelancers to gain a window into our work through a part-time paid position.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking individuals with a background in ethnology, anthropology, sociology or political science for temporary employment in our downtown New York office. The work will consist of processing and tagging ethnographic data in ATLAS.ti, a data analysis tool. You will be working in a small team, collaborating with our New York and Copenhagen office, for one of our top clients on a major foundational study.
The work requires an understanding of ethnographic praxis and analysis, and reasonable computer skills. The work will require listening to some conversations and annotating them in English and fluency is a requirement. We are also seeking applicants who are fluent in one of the following languages:
Previous experience with ATLAS.ti is not a requirement, but is a plus. We will provide a thorough introduction to and assistance with the software.
Timing: December 3rd to December 19th
The work will take place for two weeks during the period of Dec 3-19 depending on candidate’s availability. You will also need to be available for a training session on Wednesday Nov 28 at 10:00AM – 12:00PM.
We are looking for people who are flexible, reliable, and able to work significant hours during this period.
We will offer a wage of $20 per hour capped at 8 hours/day, a nice lunch and a wonderful working environment.
If you are interested or have questions regarding the interim position, please send a short bio, résumé, and hours of availability as soon as possible to: firstname.lastname@example.org
What we do
We always emphasize long-term problem solving over quick fixes. In many cases our work has led to sharp turns in strategy. We enjoy working with clients who are ready to embrace bold ideas and are looking for a radically new way of thinking.
